Bracelet extension where none fitted.

May be useful for some owners…

To me, the lack of this adjustability has been an obvious omission to many Tudor sports watches except the Pelagos line (though now rectified with the T-link). If you’re wishing your Black Bay bracelets had more adjustability to expand and contract, check out the Steel Reef offerings. They’re not cheap, but appear to be well made and improve the wearing experience significantly.

I've read some complaints that the on-the-fly adjustment is rather large [5mm?] and some found that problematic. Anyone w/ Steel-Reef experience notice that?

Yeah...I put one of those on my Harrods and have to say, it works as advertised. Used it in conjunction with the US half link for not only a perfect fit, but adjustable in hot, sweaty conditions.

To be honest, though, the half link does such a good job I don't use the extension link all that much.

It works the same as the Rolex easy link.

Don't forget you also have the big mac option (fatten up the wrist a bit) or the steam room option to lose some water weight and fit as well.

All can turn from short term solutions to lifestyle long term solutions to make your wrist fit your watch instead of the other way around.

I know how it works, just wondering if the length is appropriate for weather related adjustment.

It's pretty much a dupe of the genuine. Same adjustments. I have one on a BB58.

Yeah, the guy who recommended it to me used both the on the fly easylink, as well as a half link, to get the right fit for his wrist. For me, I only needed the on the fly adjustment, and no additional half link.

What I found, Dan, is that the link in the non-extended setting is approx 1 MM (maybe 2?) larger than the link it replaced, so the bracelet got ever so slightly larger just by adding the Steel Reef easylink even when not extended. This is from feel and eyeballing it, I didn't actually measure it. And then when extended, it may in fact add about 5mm total (also haven't measured it, just going by sight/feel).

In either case, I found that adjusting the bracelet setting on the clasp to a different spring bar hole helped get the right fit. Again, very happy to have this adjustability on the bracelet for times when the wrist swells.

To clarify my answer: the length is the same as a Rolex easy link when engaged. Or at least seems to be when I've used it.

Thanks, gents!! Good info to know.

I never felt the need for an on-the-fly adjustment. Never use the one on my Pelagos. My Tudors tend to fit just right and while there's a difference depending on the temps it's never really bothered me. Nice to know there are options for those who need it.
