Rolex has the most involvement in Watchmaker training than any other watch manufacturer in the world. It is a feather in the cap of any watchmaker who can claim that they were trained at the Rolex Technicum or any other school/training from Rolex.

Any watchmaker can work on a Rolex watch though, and there are several levels of watchmaker training and many schools that offer that training. Before selecting a watchmaker one should look at their qualifications and training.

In order to have a Rolex parts account or work at a Rolex accredited shop, a watchmaker must meet Rolex requirements and training as well as adhere to Rolex policy. Watchmakers who actually work at Rolex, obviously have direct training on Rolex watches and equipment.

I would assume they hire qualified watchmakers and then train them in their particular methods.
