New pick up

Picked up my 2nd Rolex today - DJ 36 mint green on Jubilee.

Quick background - I started my Rolex journey last year and was very content with the sub I was able to obtain at retail. That is, until I went holiday shopping at my AD and noticed the SA wearing the mint green. I tried her watch on and fell in love with it immediately. I was like, "I want one of those." My SA said she will take care of it. Lo and behold, I got a text a couple of days ago that my watch was in and picked it up today.

One thing to note for those that wonder about declining an allocation, I was offered a 41mm a couple of weeks ago and after thinking about it I said I want the 36 because of the iconic status of that size. My SA was totally fine with it (and in fact, I hadn't given that interaction a second thought until I write this today).

PS: It's a dangerous hobby, ya'll! Newbies beware!

Congratulations on a beautiful Rolex. It looks great on your wrist.

A GMT would be a next good addition to your collection so if your AD asks, start laying the groundwork now, but you have a good two watch collection that covers all daily situations.

Cheers!

Yes, the mint green dial is fantastic. I have the DJ 41 mint green smooth dial on Oyster and can attest to its uniqueness and beauty.

I love the Mint Green dial! Beautiful choice in 36mm and on Jubilee. That would have been my preference as well. A big congratulations. Enjoy!

Congrats! Love that dial color. The DJ36 was my intro to Rolex and I don't plan to ever get rid of it!

A beautiful piece. I’m was going back and fourth, either the Mint green, or blue 36mm Datejust.

The Green Mint is the one! Outstanding.

That is a good looking combo too. Jubilee bracelet with smooth bezel.

Congrats on your second Rolex, It's a classic choice. And yes, the watch collecting hobby can be quite dangerous, but it's also incredibly rewarding. Enjoy your new addition and happy collecting.
