Incoming - ghost 👻👻

Was between the Daydate 40 or a daytona on OF. I’m pretty young (32) and wanted something that could be worn with a t shirt and shorts or suit and tie. The ghost was something that presented itself as my buddy had two of them and offered me one at retail. Really like the comfort of this watch and the versatility it brings. My only complaint is it’s not the newest model with the glidelock clasp which would’ve been nice for adjustability.

Apologies in advance for the low res picture :)

I don’t get why people whine so much about the nicknames I mean who cares - if you don’t like any of the nicknames just then just don’t use them

Anyway congrats - great watch - but you are right, the new reference version is indeed better - not only due to the great little changes and improvements throughout - but mainly due to the glide lock as you mentioned! But hey, the good news is you can always just sell yours and get a new reference if as time goes on you just can’t stop thinking about it …. You won’t lose that much, so to me it would be worth it no doubt

Also, curious / what size straps are on there right now? What is the size or rather the circumference of your wrist?

If you have the right straps you won’t need the glidelock at all. I have your same watch. I don’t even use the quickchange on mine since the fins under the strap have just enough give not need it. I value the ringless bezel too as it’s more durable
