Best Rolex Ever
Honestly, there are 1000 reasons why the Rolex Submariner 14060M is the best Rolex ever. Most importantly, it was the last semi-certified chronometer Sub, and it is relatively affordable compared to a brand-new 124060. Does anybody here agree with me?

Sub no.1
My dream watch is the Submariner no-date, and if I ever get the opportunity to buy one, I would choose the 14060M over the 124060.

For me it’s a close second after a 16600. Same idea though.

I like having a date function. A Rolex no date Sub however, is often regarded as a must for a Rolex collector. I had a 114060, I traded it for a BLNR.

It's a great watch. I prefer the 124060, but there is no wrong answer when it comes to a classic Submariner.

performance is criteria for me -- 26 year old 1998 sub, never opened, never serviced, never stopped -- running 5 seconds fast / day. -- it ran +/- zero seconds for 1st 20 years. -- scary stuff -- what other watch on the planet can beat that.

Glad you found your best. Mine is the 16710 GMT II. The extra functions and bezel/ bracelet combos make it my all time GOAT.

I owned the 14060m, 114060 and the 124060. The 14060m was my first Rolex and is special. But the 124060 is the best watch ever made.

The ultimate pre/ceramic Submariner. With my SD 16600 it competes for the all-time favorite

I agree with the OP, mine is a P series 14060 two liner. The only improvement I can think of is I may put an AR crystal on next service

14060M is a "Rattler" (I had one)
114060 is the much better watch, it's the pinnicale! Rolex finaly made a well designed item, worth it's money!

I find Rolex seldom makes a "worse" new version of a watch. Which would be the case if that older Sub were the "best" version.
Stunner of a watch, nonetheless. |

It’s never been on my list but understand why it’s on so many other people’s lists. How could you go wrong with it?

Many said the DJ II was worse, and the new Daytona today. Lots of people prefer 5 digit watches, and I would say the problematic 32xx movement is clearly worse. I actually don’t hate the new Subs, they just don’t work on my 6.75” wrist

Maybe for you? But why would it be the best for everyone?
This is akin to saying size 8 in shoes is the best size ever. |

Best Rolex Ever
Well, there is no best Rolex ever, but that’s a keeper, for sure. Also, you should post more than once a year…….
