For Discussion - Daytona Bakelite Insert Recent Sale

.
Just wanted to bring up a recent sale from Ebay regarding a vintage Daytona Bezel that recently closed. I see nothing near what an authentic bezel should look like. Just for comments.
.
Seller - Vintage Rolex Collection
.
Ebay sale here:
.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/204660065324
.
Some pics here from RPRs Bezel identification picture, followed by pictures from the listing and close up pic of the usual reference used for identification.

I know next to nothing about this area of vintage Rolex but the printing of that "units per hour" looks terrible.

It’s junk as are most of this sellers items, and I’m speaking from personal experience.

Fake service bezel. If you're gonna make a fake bezel, why a service version?!

I’ve seen this particular seller with multiple fake 6263 bezels

Not a bad effort, but sadly, it is not what it is.

Indeed - Be bit like doing a fake 2:2 degree ;-)

Useful post to see what to be aware of/avoid.

.
For what is worth and expected by Ebay, I reported the listing and this is the response I received:

"We looked into your report and didn’t find the listing to be in violation of our policy. This determination was made by a customer service agent."

Maybe others can report to save the buyer a headache..

I've had the same (for other listings) from ebay recently but they often still suddenly disappear a couple of days later... and then sometimes reappear with new wording. Wonder if ebay still has a word?
