6 Digit OP on leather

Hello. Do the current 6 digit OP's have spring bar hole locations similar to 6 digit Explorers (not II) that make them not really work on on leather straps or nato? I'm only interested in the 36mm model.

One of the joys of the classic Oyster cases used to be their versatility off the metal bracelet. However I never see them off the bracelet anymore.

Am I just the last weirdo who wants to put modern Rolex on leather? Or is there a practical problem preventing this, as with the Explorer?

No practical problem, people may hate on it but wear what you enjoy.

Not weird at all, albeit you will get flamed for even considering putting a Rolex on anything but the factory bracelets…

I’ve put my 126000 36mm OP on nato straps before. I actually like it. But in the end, the oyster bracelet is perfectly sized for my wrist, so I always go back to it.

Please don't answer when you don't understand the question

The Explorer 39mm has spring bar holes close to the case. Leather and Nato can bind, scrape, or be too thick to fit. That's what the OP is asking about.

I removed the bracelet from my Polar last week to try on an Erika's MN strap. Whilst at it I also removed the bracelet from my 39mm Explorer and tried this on a MN strap.

Although the space between the spring bars and the case is tighter than on some other watches, I didn't have a problem fitting the MN strap, and it wore really nice on the Explorer. The strap was the wrong colour (blue) so it hasn't stayed on, but I was impressed enough that I've decided to order a couple of MN straps for it.

I didn't try any leather straps, but I have seen that they can get damaged from rubbing against the case. There are some options out there where you can order curved or fitted straps which I imagine would deal with this better.
