Fair Price on a 16014 Datejust Naked?

Hi,

Considering a forum purchase on a 1983 Silver Dial Datejust 16014 no box or papers. Serviced 6 months ago. Any opinions on a fair price? Seller asking $4,200.

Pics attached.

Thanks!

Great piece. A bit high. I would look around as you can find the same reference being offered at $2500-$3800
Cheers,

A fair price is always awkward to establish maybe you can knock a little off the asking price of the one shown. But ultimately it’s what you feel comfortable paying based on what’s on sale

For that $ you can get a less used watch.

Even in the UK where watches are more expensive, that’s a high-ish price for that watch. The case seems ok (although the pictures aren’t great for assessing condition) but the bracelet is certainly stretched and has seen some wear.

£2650 or $3000 for a loose goose, silver sunburst batton, T Swiss made T on a 62510h.

As others have noted, prices have been soft on these in the past couple of years, and there have been many opportunities to buy them for $3000 - $3500. IMO, I think it's getting a little harder now to find them at the bottom of that range, but $4200 still seems high. It depends, obviously, on many details that you haven't mentioned. For example, who is the seller (private owner, dealer, retail store), is there a warranty, has the watch been serviced recently (with documentation)?

Just paid about 3550 for mine and it has a service dial. Was fully serviced in '21.
