Damn ! I'm gonna do it...

Called and put a reserve on my first Breitling today. A Windrider Chronomat Evolution with black dial and SS/RG case and bracelet. Been staring at it for over a week and decided to pull the trigger. Won't get it till Thursday.

The anticipation proved to be too much. I keep sneaking back to my office to get a little further along. There was supposed to be a vic-, er, um, patient getting a root canal, but he got called to a work emergency. At least that's his story and he's sticking to it. Oddly, today I don't mind as much. Go figure

(This being a family-friendly forum and all, I must use discretion. But I can't help thinking this reminds me of the good old days with, ahem!, a new girlfriend. Not that I knew that sensation all that often, mind ! )

Sadly, those youthful days are so far behind me I'm surprised I remember. But then again, we're talking WATCHES here, so who has time to daydream ?

Finally, we get to the good stuff. Drum roll, please :

Don't want to keep teasing, but that's as far as I can get for now, and still put up some pic's. Doesn't look like much yet, but into the safe she must go - I need to wait til this evening to get through the plastic and take some proper pic's. I think I'll change out of my bright orange shirt as well, as it's causing some undesirable reflections.

Back later !

She's a beauty - and I bet she won't ask you to meet her parents after you get to the good stuff!

Good point ! Other nice thing about a watch is you only need to pay for it one time.

(Day-um !! Thought this day would never end.)

Now - back to the really important stuff.

Got the sticky stuff off. Noted with glee that Breitling does not employ the same sadists as Rolex in their Sticky Stuff Application Department. Only took about a minute or so.

Fired off a couple on my operatory chair with the pillow.

And finally ! The outdoor-light-obligatory-highly-desired Wrist Shot !

Got these so quickly I didn't even have time to set it yet ! How's that for TRF devotion ?

It has a rightful place in the rotation, It's my bold dressy watch for days when I go into the city (Pittsburgh) to hang out. For more conservative dress, I'll wear the DD. The Chronomat is the flashiest watch I have. It does go well under a dress shirt, but the quandary is I like it to be visible since it has such a striking appearance.

Hey, Craig ! Thanks. BTW, bought a PAM from Yuriy last week. You really need to stop in to see him. Although it can be a, um, costly experience.
