If your passing the Wimbledon to wear, then it's time to move on from it. There's no sense in keeping a watch around because it's nice to look at, but you feel you cannot wear it out in certain scenarios. Lots of money to sit idle. Do the trade before it's too late.

Bottom line... if you are forcing yourself to wear the Wimbledon, then it is time to move on from it.

And while yes, it does hurt a little to pay over MSPR on the grey market, think of it this way: anything you pay over retail is an "expedited purchase fee," which you pay to avoid the agony of waiting for an AD call that may never come.

Also, I used to own a Pepsi (the 16710 model) and it is more versatile as compared to the Wimbledon. You won't have to force yourself to wear it.

I've only seen this watch once IRL. An AD SA was wearing one (how on earth did they skip the line?!)

But congrats OP, I think you did the right thing

I’ve only seen it on a oyster in Vegas. I would love to see it on a Jubliee at some point, but most ADs haven’t gotten a Pepsi.

Special watch, you did the right thing. I missed out when the green Submariner was discontinued but I won't be missing the BLRO!

Life is short. Make the BLRO happen--it's a special one and done watch. Ditch the Wimbledon as you can't grow into liking a watch.

Traded DJ41 + 16700 for one last year. Pepsi is superb watch but i find that i m not wearing it very often. A bit blingy for office, a bit showy for normal wear.
