Is my datejust real?

I just received what looks to be a vintage datejust stainless steel rolex with a18k white gold bezel. I am confused because there are many signs of a authentic rolex but I am not sure. The bracelet has screws not pins holding the links together. The white gold bezel looks to be real. There is a small chip in the bezel and beneath the chip there is no color change. It looks to be solid thru. The watch it self has age to it and still feels very sturdy. All of the markings are in the correct position. The movement is very smooth. The only thing that is throwing me off is the model number which is 16233. This model number seems to be for a 18k yellow gold bracket and bezel. I hope someone can help me.

The cyclops seems like it doesnt even magnify the date...or maybe it's just the angle?

Im no expert.. but there are a lot of variations of the 16233,. The screws for the bracelet seems to coinside with the era, perahps.. tho the cyclops seems odd - could be the lighting...!
Markings, as you say, apprear to be correct.. - Have you had this checked out by a local watch maker??
Maybe others, more knowledgeable will chime in..!!

The font on the date wheel doesn't look like Rolex, more like ETA, but could be wrong!

Definitely has the look of an ETA date wheel...The dial looks far from genuine as well.

it looks fake to me...... from the one picture the date font and the cyclops don't look right and the lugs should be longer and have a sharp edge on them.

the newer Rolexes have the sharp lug edges taken off so the case looks more squarish now

The numbers on a Rolex model are a code, a 16233 is two tone ( yellow gold and steel) with a fluted bezel, you can tell what the watch must look like without even seeing it, bar dial variations. The date is incorrect font, the dial is crude, mag is wrong, the watch is a total fake, sorry

[QUOTE=Europeanexotics;I just received what looks to be a vintage datejust stainless steel rolex with a18k white gold bezel. [/QUOTE]

Some Things i know makes it look like to be a Fake. First the Cycope eye shold magnify the date to 2,5 times big, seems like it doesnt.
Second, The "LY" in "OFFICIALLY" shold be like this, that the End of the Letter L should be more right than the upper left starting point of the Y. That is not like this on your watch.
The number of your model should be 16234 for Stainless Steel and White Gold. 16233 is the number for SS/Gold
